What you actually learn inside the modules

Each track is built around the tasks a junior developer faces in a first job: reading unfamiliar files, wiring up an API, tracking down a bug that only appears in one environment. Theory shows up where it explains the work, not as a separate lecture block.

Coding fundamentals

Variables, control flow, functions, and data structures taught through small programs you run and break on purpose. By the end you can read a 200-line script and explain what each block does without guessing.

Application development

Build a working web app from an empty folder: routing, forms, data storage, and a basic interface. The point is to understand how the pieces connect, not to memorize a framework's API surface.

Software tools and workflow

Version control, terminal basics, package managers, and editor setup. These are the parts beginners skip and then spend weeks untangling later. Here they come early and get practiced until they feel routine.

Debugging and testing

Write a hypothesis before touching code, isolate the smallest reproduction, and move from print statements to structured logs. You also learn when a bug signals a design problem rather than a typo.

Software engineering concepts

Separation of concerns, interfaces, and the trade-offs behind common patterns. Introduced with concrete examples from the projects you already built, so the vocabulary attaches to something real.
