What the academy delivers
HiLoft Digital Academy publishes structured learning modules on programming fundamentals, application development, software tooling, and related technical concepts. Each module combines written lessons, annotated code examples, and practice tasks. We describe module content, prerequisites, and expected time commitment on the relevant course page. We may revise, extend, or retire individual lessons when the underlying technology changes, and we will note substantial changes on the module page rather than silently replacing material.
Learner obligations
How you may use the material
You agree to use the platform for personal learning and to keep your account credentials private. Course texts, exercise solutions, and downloadable assets remain the property of HiLoft Digital Academy and are licensed for individual, non-transferable use. Copying lessons into your own paid offering, reselling access, or redistributing solution files without written permission is not allowed. You are responsible for the code you write based on our examples and for complying with the license terms of any third-party library you choose to install.
Limitation of liability
Where our responsibility stops
Lessons are provided as educational material. We do not guarantee that a specific exercise, framework version, or deployment approach will work unchanged in your environment, and we are not liable for data loss, project delays, or business decisions made on the basis of a lesson. To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim connected to the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the module in question. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Austrian consumer law.
Account termination
Ending access
You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or close an account if these terms are breached, if payment obligations remain unmet, or if activity on the account interferes with other learners or with the operation of the platform. Where a suspension is not caused by a serious breach, we will explain the reason and give you the opportunity to respond before access is permanently removed. Sections covering intellectual property and liability survive termination.
Changes to these terms
Updates and notification
We review these terms when the platform changes, for example when new module formats or payment options are introduced. Updated versions are published on this page with a revised date, and material changes are announced by email to registered learners before they take effect. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you disagree with a change, you may close your account before the new version applies.
Governing law
Applicable jurisdiction and contact
These terms are governed by Austrian law, with mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remaining unaffected. We aim to answer legal enquiries within a reasonable period during normal business days.
